Position Overview

The Leffell School seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Upper School Music Teacher to join their team as a leave replacement from September 2024 to November 2024. This temporary position provides a unique opportunity to teach and inspire students through music, contribute to a dynamic faculty team, and support the school’s rich cultural and educational mission.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lesson Planning: Develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school’s music curriculum and broader educational objectives.
  • Instructional Delivery: Teach music classes to Upper School students, fostering a love for music while building foundational and advanced skills in performance, theory, and appreciation.
  • Classroom Preparation: Organize materials and prepare resources to facilitate interactive and meaningful lessons.
  • Individualized Support: Adapt teaching methods and lesson content to accommodate the unique learning needs, abilities, and interests of each student.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fellow faculty members to align teaching strategies and share best practices that enhance the overall student learning experience.
