About the Role:
The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Private Credit Group at Goldman Sachs is seeking an Analyst to join their Business Development Company (BDC) Management Team. As an integral member of this team, you will collaborate with senior management and contribute to financial forecasting, strategic planning, and portfolio analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling: Develop models to forecast earnings and conduct scenario analysis.
- Balance Sheet Management: Manage liabilities and support financing initiatives.
- Workflow Enhancements: Collaborate with technology teams to optimize processes.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in business strategy development and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Portfolio Analytics:
- Develop metrics for managing portfolio risk, exposure, and performance.
- Track fund investments and individual portfolio company performance.
- Prepare analytics for investor reports, marketing, and Board presentations.
- Special Analyses: Conduct market-event-driven analyses for senior management.
- Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders on investment workflows and portfolio management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (U.S. or equivalent).
- Experience: 3-5 years of prior experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel (VBA preferred), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with accounting and financial modeling.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong attention to detail and experience with large datasets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organization: Proven ability to handle complex projects and logistics under tight deadlines.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously and think creatively.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $170,000 per year.
- Discretionary Bonus: Eligible if active as of fiscal year-end.
